A LITTLE GUIDANCE
Help & Support
A few simple steps to keep your dates in view.
Your first item, step by step
- Start on the dashboard. Explore the four fictional examples. The summary shows your total items, those due within 30 days (including today), and those already past due.
- Select Add item. The form opens on one screen.
- Give it a simple name. Use a fictional label such as “Maple Library membership.”
- Choose a category yourself. Select Documents, Memberships, Subscriptions, Trials, Warranties, or Other.
- Select the expiry or renewal date. Choose the month, then enter the day and four-digit year in their separate fields. You do not need to type dashes, and the cursor stays in each field until you move it. Past dates are allowed.
- Choose reminders if you want them. Tick any combination of 45, 30, 10, or 5 days before, and On the due date. Leave all unchecked for no reminders. Selecting On the due date also includes a heads-up one day before, at the same shared reminder time. The demo only displays your choices; it does not send notifications.
- Explore Settings when you want. Use the labelled Settings control to choose one reminder time for all entries or preview discreet wording versus item names. The demo defaults to 9 a.m. and hides names in notification previews. Preferences reset on refresh.
- Add a general note if useful. For example, “Check renewal options a week before.” You can leave this blank.
- Select Add item to finish. Your item appears on the dashboard, with the earliest date first. Cancel takes you back without adding it.
- Explore your list. Tap Items tracked, Due within 30 days, or Past due to filter your active items. You can combine a date filter with a category. Summary counts always cover all categories. Use the Category filter to narrow it down. Badges show days left, Due today, or days overdue.
What goes in each field?
- Item name · required
- A short, recognisable label, up to 80 characters. Example: “Kitchen mixer warranty.” Leave out personal names and identifying numbers.
- Category · required
- The group that fits your item. Documents for an expiry date, Memberships for a club or library, Subscriptions for a recurring service, Trials for a free or introductory trial, Warranties for product cover, or Other when none fits. Categories are selected manually.
- Expiry or renewal date · required
- The date the document or warranty expires, or the membership or subscription renews. For Trials, enter the trial end or first charge date. This is the date used for the countdown badge. Trials are entered manually; the app does not detect sign-ups or cancel trials for you.
- Reminders · optional
- Select as many or as few as you want: 45, 30, 10, or 5 days before the expiry or renewal date, plus the due date itself. For example, select 30 days, 5 days, and On the due date. Leave all unchecked for none. Selecting On the due date also includes the preceding day at your shared reminder time. These choices are displayed on your item, but do not trigger notifications in this demo.
- Notes · optional
- A general reminder, up to 500 characters. Example: “Review whether this plan is still useful.” No note is needed if the name and date are enough.
Privacy & demo limits
Use fictional information only. Your entries stay in this tab’s memory and are not sent to us or saved by the demo. Refreshing, closing, or reopening the dashboard restores the examples. Cloudflare hosts this website and processes connection information, such as your IP address, to deliver its pages. We have not added analytics or advertising trackers.
There are no accounts, email reminders, push notifications, or automatic renewals. Countdown badges are visual reminders inside the demo. Use Edit on an item to update its details, date, or reminders, then choose Save changes. Cancel discards your edits. Use Renew / Update date to keep tracking an item with a new date. Existing reminder choices are kept. Use Delete to open the removal options. Choose Archive instead when an item is cancelled, expired, or no longer needed; a reason is optional. Archived items leave the active totals and can be restored or deleted from Archived. Restoring keeps the original date, so update it if needed. Choose Delete permanently in the pop-up only if you want to remove the record rather than archive it.
Settings preferences, like entries, stay only in this tab’s memory and reset on refresh. The notification example uses fictional information. The installed app’s planned rules are: changing dates or reminder choices replaces the old schedule, renewing keeps selected intervals for the new date, changing the shared time updates upcoming reminders, archiving or deleting cancels them, and restoring includes only future reminders. Missed reminders are skipped, without catch-up bursts; no follow-up alerts are sent after the due date. These scheduling rules are not implemented as notification delivery in this demo.
A full privacy policy and working support contact will accompany an installed release. The address below remains fictional.
Help & Support has its own page in the demo. Use the sidebar or your browser’s Back button to return. Your items and unfinished entry stay in memory while navigating within the demo.
